Clear Teeth Aligners

What are Clear Teeth Aligners?

Our clear teeth aligners are the best alternative for patients who are unease about wearing traditional braces. Clear aligners, as the name suggests, are transparent, removable aligners that are used to straighten your teeth and improve the appearance of your smile. Made using 3D computer imaging and custom-fitted to your exact smile, this is a highly effective method that can treat a range of orthodontic problems for adults and teenagers.

Smile confidently with straighter, healthier teeth.

Can I get Clear Teeth Aligners?

Aligners usually work best on teenagers and adults who have mild orthodontic problems. We recommend traditional braces for more complex cases but this can be determined upon your initial consultation.

Clear aligners are a treatment to straighten teeth. They can’t be used to treat oral health issues or to shape your teeth; these conditions will need to be resolved before starting your aligner treatment.

What Conditions can Clear Teeth Aligners Fix?

  • Crowded teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Underbite/overbite

The best way to determine your eligibility for clear teeth aligners is to consult with one of our qualified dentists at Wyndham Dental Solutions. They will evaluate your specific dental needs and recommend the most suitable treatment option to achieve your dream smile.

What are the Advantages of Clear Teeth Aligners?

While this varies from case to case, clear aligners usually take 12 to 18 months to show results. For smaller degrees of alignment, it may take even less than 12 months, but this is dependent on how often a day you manage to wear your aligners. Here are some of the other advantages of clear aligners:

  • Comfort – Clear aligners are made from smooth BPA-free plastic, reducing the risk of irritation and discomfort often associated with traditional braces.
  • Invisible – Clear aligners are transparent and barely noticeable when worn, allowing you to straighten your teeth discreetly without drawing attention to yourself.
  • Easily removable – Unlike fixed braces, clear aligners are removable, making it easier to eat, drink, brush and floss without any restrictions.
  • Easier to maintain – Clear aligners only require a good oral hygiene routine. They require fewer in-person appointments making it a convenient option for busy individuals.
  • Customisation – Each set of aligners is custom-made to fit your teeth and gradually move to the desired position.
  • Versatility – Clear aligners treat a wide range of dental issues including crowding, gaps, overbite, underbite and crossbite.

What is the Process of Clear Teeth Aligners?

Transforming your smile with clear teeth aligners like Invisalign is a popular and discreet way to achieve straighter teeth. Our dedicated team of dental professionals is committed to providing you with the best orthodontic care using advanced technology and personalised treatment plans.

Below is the process of clear aligners at Wyndham Dental:

  1. Once you come in for a consultation we’ll assess your smile with the aid of 3D scanning or using moulds for impressions of your teeth. This will help to get a closer look at your teeth and outline possible treatment plans.
  2. We’ll share a preview of your transformation and your new smile. If you are happy with the results we will move on to creating your custom-fitted clear teeth aligners.
  3. The number of aligners you need will depend on the complexity of your case. Usually, a couple of aligners will be given to you to minimise the need for frequent dental visits.
  4. For best results, we recommend wearing your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, and taking it out only when having meals, brushing your teeth and flossing.

After-care for clear aligners

While maintenance is a lot easier, we recommend brushing your teeth after each meal to avoid any food particles getting trapped. Avoid hot drinks since your aligners are made out of plastic and can easily warp for the heat. If you can’t avoid that morning coffee, we recommend taking out your aligners and rinsing your mouth out with cold water after you finish.

Similar to other orthodontic treatments, you will need to wear a retainer once you have completed wearing your aligners. The retainer will prevent your teeth from returning to its original position. It will be made out of the same clear plastic, however.
